Bowling Lake Fishing Pier Project: “Helping those with special needs re-engage with life.”

In January 2011, a group of avid fishermen gathered for a cup of coffee at the Blue Moon Coffee Company in Lincoln, NE. Fishing stories and memories of the joy of fishing led to the idea that Bowling Lake in West Lincoln would be a great place to develop a special needs accessible fishing pier. Fishing knows no age boundaries and this project would provide safety as well as allow the maximum opportunity to catch fish.
